So yeah.. that ending. After two big boss battles ya get three more. (I think five total consecutively if you count Jenova). Why was Rufus made president if the president never died? Who knows.

The whispers. Was wondering wtf they were and when it was explained mind == blown. This sephiroth appearing isn't modern day Sephiroth, but after AC Sephiroth. Defying fate, and returning only through clones at a different point in the timeline. The planet is still fighting Sephiroth as a virus, and wants the future that is destined to happen. To ensure such the planer's energy combines to create the controllers of Destiny. Future Sephiroth then taunts the gang into destroying destiny, allowing for him to attempt to create a future where he doesn't lose... All through the use of clones/Jenova spliced soldiers.

The story set up multiple characters seeing "Time waves" which explained clouds constant migraine in the first game, which begs the question... How many times has FF7 happened? Twice now that we know of, but also a potential third time, one where Zack was the one who stopped Meteor.

I digress... This threw me for a gigantic mind fawk. Basically the whole Remake thing was to remake destiny. It was Sephiroth's story, not avalanches. It was the story of how he plans to prevail even if he loses. So this game was basically Final Fantasy 7 Part 2. Part three will be the next game.

I througly enjoyed the switch up, though it did leave me with some questions...

Shinra was really detrimental to society unlike FF7 where little remorse was shown and Avalanche was really terrorists. What prompted this change?

What does this mean for present day Sephiroth trapped inside Mako?

Will the sequels skip open world?(hope not).

Where does this leave yuffie and Vincent?
