Cannot find/upload PS4 save files transferred via USB to PS5

Have read through multiple related posts but cannot seem to find a fix for my issue.

I just bought a PS5 and transferred all my PS4 saves including FFVIII Remake. As far as I can tell, all the saves transferred correctly - I can see them on my PS5 in Storage > Console Storage > Saved Data > PS4 Games > FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE (3.31MB). I was even able to upload them to cloud storage.

When I get to the menu screen of the PS4 version though, the Upload Save Data button is greyed out and no saves appear in Load Game. I can see on the USB though that there appear to be two save files (save00.ff7 and save01.ff7).

I am logged into the only PSN account I have ever used.
