5* Magicites: Break(downs) are worth giving a shot again.
Post Body

As enemy stats continue to increase, piercing damage continues to grow, and Behemoth King continues to Hurl a single character into the Void for 8k , don't sleep on Breaks.

Unlike previous 3 and 4* magicites which are 80% break resistant, our two new magicites are only 70% resistant. That's 50% more effectiveness, and imo it's enough to no longer be ignored.

"Well that's still not going to do much"

Doing a simple test on both bosses first attacks, with Dampen Lightning 10 8 (for Lv14), Moderate Resists on my team and Major on my Healer, I take 4.1k on the Moderates and 2.4k on the Major. Using just Enfeebling Jitterbug (ATK/MAG-50%), that gets reduced to 3.6k/2k.

Maybe that doesn't sound like much to you. To put it in Math terms, that's a 14% decrease in damage, a.k.a., literally what my Dampen Lightning passive is doing for me! As I'm sure some of you experienced, their piercing damage gets stronger as the fight progress. Quetz with an Imperil or two can end up doing 6.6k across my entire team with no breaks. Dropping that by 1k for a simple dance doesn't sound like such a bad idea to me.

"But is that really going to help me when I have Wall and Proshellga already for the non-piercing moves?"

To put it in perspective, for Quetzacoatl Phase 3, he does 3 piercing, 1 gravity, 2 regular moves, then repeats that pattern. Half the moves you are seeing in Phase 3 are piercing, and 1 is gravity. Only 33% get mitigated by Wall. Phase 1 and 2 have less Piercing Moves, but still have them regardless. These may save your life.

Do not forget that these Breakdowns still do affect non-piercing moves as well, albeit not as strongly. It's mitigation across the board that might be enough to keep you alive.

Note: Breakdowns are probably not going to fit into Sub30 parties or people who are extremely decked out in a specific element, but I have a feeling they can contribute greatly towards the majority of the playerbase at this time. Fit one on a lesser DPS, a chain holder, or a character like Ellara who can afford to Dance while her USB is up. This is simply a suggestion that will hopefully help some people out. This advice might also help out in Neo-torments, though I haven't had much experience trying to fit Breakdowns or Dances there yet.

Lastly, research whether or not these magicites utilize multiple elements. Quetz tosses a couple Aeros in there and Behemoth uses several Earth attacks. Getting Level 13~15 total Dampen on those elements will severely reduce your incoming damage.
