Maybe its just me but I am frustrated more than usual with grinding through the opening stages of the XII event.
On one hand I have orbfest to farm if I don't want to concentrate.
On the other if I want a challenge I have Sephiroth to play with.
Normally I don't mind the grind up to the red battles.
I get to see some enemy sprites, and hear some cool music.

For some reason dealing with the grind is just pissing me off.
I think some of it is due to the tiny cactus sprites and they often appear with more than two on a stage meaning I should have brought AOE to just crush them.

I don't know exactly what is different.
I just am having a harder time being interested with this event, and I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing the same thing?
