BOSS: Adamanchelid (XIII)

Difficulties: 160 (Ultimate ) and 220 (Apocalypse )

Mastery Conditions:

• Win with 4 or more party members alive.
• Reduce Adamanchelid's RES.
• Reduce Adamanchelid's ATK.

Overview:

• Mainly uses Earth-elemental attacks. Is weak to Ice, and is resistant to everything else.
• Uses a combination of physical and magical attacks, though he leans more towards physical damage.
• Capable of inflicting Stun and Confuse.
• His most dangerous combo is Ultimate: Bay (deals massive piercing ranged physical to all party members removes beneficial buffs like Haste, Shell and Protect), which he then follows up with Ultimate: Trample (deals 99999 damage to one unit) three times in a row. He uses this combo twice throughout the fight to my knowledge at phase shifts, though he could possibly do more.

Tips:

• Ultimate: Earthshaker in his very weak phase has a very high chance to Confuse members. Be sure to bring Astra and/or Affliction Break.
• Have Last Stand ready for the eventual Ultimate: Bay, as he follows up with 3x 99999 attacks that you can't dodge with Blinks. Eiko's USB is a fantastic choice for this fight since it is a Curaga heal, instant cast, comes with a Hastega refresh and comes with Last Stand to keep your party on its feet.
• If your status vulnerabilities are covered, Earth-resistance accessories are the way to go.
• Since he is weak to Ice, Squall BSB2 owners should have a field day here, as do Edea BSB owners.
• A lot of Adamanchelid's attacks are also AoE by nature, so Radiant Shield can help to reflect back a massive amount of damage.
