BOSS: Belias & Archaodemons (FFT)

Difficulties: 160 (Ultimate ) and 220 (Apocalypse )

Mastery Conditions:

• Win with 4 or more party members alive.
• Reduce Belias' MAG.
• Reduce Belias' RES.

Overview:

• Enemies here aren't vulnerable or resistant to any elements. Archaeodemons null holy.
• There aren't a lot of physical attacks in this fight - lean more towards magical mitigation. Note that all enemies here have a standard PHY counter attack that triggers on all abilities.
• Belias has a mild array of status effects he can deal - including Silence, Petrify and Confuse. One attack in particular, Ultimate: Cyclops, does large magical damage to all members, and has a high chance to Petrify.
• Archaedemons don't hit hard alone, but as there are 3 of them, you might get hit with back-to-back AoE's which leaves you little time to recover.

Tips:

• A dancer is great here. Cait Sith and Faris all have access to an AoE ATK/MAG stackable debuff as well via Soul Breaks.
• Affliction Break comes in handy here, as the only one you have to aim it on is Belias. This will keep status chances down to a low, and you should bring Petrify resistance if possible to ensure your characters don't get turned to stone.
• While I normally wouldn't recommend Holy here as the three Archaeodemons here are invulnerable to Holy, however it could work out in your favor as they have an ability called Life Break which does more damage the lower their health is, so incidental Holy damage won't boost the power of this ability (i.e. Agrias or Beatrix BSB for Imperil Holy). This honestly depends on whether your strategy is to clear out the Archaeodemons with powerful AoE, or to leave them alone.
