BOSS: Cuchulainn (FFT)

Difficulties: 160 (Ultimate ) and 200 (Apocalypse)

Overview:

• This can be a relatively easy D160/D200 MO boss fight. Or it could be the most frustrating. All depends on luck.
• Damage-wise he isn't overly threatening. Other than single-hit PHY attacks, the large majority of his damage comes from Biora (FFT) and Bioga. Pack Bio-resistance if possible, and bring both Shellga and Magic Breakdown.
• The real kicker of this fight is the myriad of nasty status effects Cuchulainn is able to put out. You'll be looking at dealing with Blind, Silence, Slow, Poison, Sleep, Paralyze, etc.
• No elemental weaknesses, absorbs Bio.

Tips:

• Vaan to the rescue once again with Ark Blast. MAG/DEF are also mastery conditions.
• Healers should look at bringing Esuna and/or Ultra Cure. If you have it, consider bringing Affliction Break as well.
• In my opinion, the most crippling status effects are Silence (on mages and healers), Sleep/Paralyze (you can try using a Crystal Ring [I] to reduce the chances of both of these status effects occurring) and Slow. Extra hastegas are always useful.
