EDIT: I finally did it. Using Wrath to build bars on Tyro while Faris broke and Celes absorbed incoming spells worked. Terra was still MVP with 2 Oversouls and a Burst in the middle. Rosa did great with the medica, it was queued to go off right before I killed Phase 3 so I would be at full for the scripted attack. It instead went off right after and luckily with defend everyone just survived the scripted hit and was then instantly healed to almost full.
I got lucky with the RNG even though I think I took 3 dispels, the two sword dances didn't massacre me, and I didn't have to deal with a double vortex AOE on phase 4 this time.

So I tried and failed the U with both my A team and a mage team.
I could use some help trying to beat this guy.
I got Terra's OSB and I pulled both Maria's BSB and Celes Excal so I can absorb magic now.

I think I am ready to try again.

I just want to beat him for the crystals, mastering it for the upgrade stuff doesn't seem doable as I don't have meltdown to hit the wind weakness.

My last attempt was Terra (fire and water on the BSB), Edea (for haste and faith from the hat), Kefka (for faster cast), Tyro (wall protect and full break dance) and Rosa (medica MBlink and shell)

I got eaten alive. I think I was on phase two when I died.

Any advice would be helpful. Now that I have Maria's BSB I have a nice source of magic earth for the last phase should help some.

Also I can't generate bar for tyro to refresh wall when just holding dance and protect.
