Let's Speculate Characters, just for Fun
Post Body

We've probably had a lot of these before, but why not again?

So, I thought it would just be fun to think about characters from the Final Fantasy games that would be potential additions, and come up with potential skillsets again.

For each character, decide on the following

  • A Skillset

  • A Basic Stat distribution/role

  • A "likelihood" group, sort of like "Party Member", Villain, Secondary Villain (sort of like Seymour), or minor/wildcard (Reno's neat, but he's not exactly a big character in VII's main narrative).

I'd kick it off with the Elemental Archfiends from 4. Besides being interesting additions, it would offer something to do for a IV event before going to the After Years. All of them teeter between "Secondary Villain" and Wildcard.

  • Scarmiglione: Black 5, Darkness 5, Combat 3, Summon 3

-- Stats: A Vincent styled Magic user, some Physical stat ability to reflect his "true" form. Darkness as an Undead, Summon for the Revenants, Combat is more flavor that usage thing.

  • Cagnazzo: White 5, Black 3, Support 4, Knight 4

-- Stats: A bit more a Tank White Mage akin to Mog. Black 3 mostly for the Statuses he had like Stop, Support because another Breakdown user besides Edward would be nice and it adds some statuses too. Knight to reflect his Defensive Shell form, though not particularly strong physically to use Banish Raid.

  • Barbarricia: Combat 5, Spellblade 5, Black 3, Celerity 4

-- Stats: Physical character outright in stats. While Lightning did hurt, she has the highest strength of the Fiends in most version and is not too far behind in DS. Spellblade because it's the only thing with Wind moves and it has Tornado Blade for her Tornado themed skills like Maelstrom or the Twister, and Break Blade also stands in for Stone Touch. Black 3 is purely for Gravity flavor and Celerity is a fast Physical set.

  • Rubicante: Black 5, (This one I'm trying to find others for)

-- Rubicante is also a caster, spamming Firaga in counters for his fight and having mostly magic damage regardless. Not sure what other skills could reflect things like Inferno, or maybe throwing Ninja on in reference to the raid on Eblan. Some White in reference to his ability to cast Raise?

So yeah, anyone else got some thoughts for this little topic?
