Thief Influx?

I looked back over the old events and noticed that since Big Bridge, we've had a character with at least Thief 4 featured in almost every event (only Seifer, Lulu, and Reno have lacked one since that point) up until this Yuffie event.
Are there going to be other "floods" of a certain skill type to look forward to, or is there an explanation for this such as the variety of skills most Thieves include with them?
