So, all things considered, Record Keeper is a pretty faithful tribute and recreation of the games it bases its content on, in terms of skills and how most of the (non-blank slate) characters are designed.
With that said, more than a few mechanics of the game mean plenty of bosses weren't quite 1-to-1 from their original fights. With the first Ultimate fight having come and being among such bosses in its original game, I'd like to discuss cases where notable boss fights became either noticeably harder or easier than the original incarnation.
To open the discussion, I'll discuss Exdeath, without going too much into some of the game-breaking Cross class combinations V offered. In the original game, most of his spells could be reflected, while things like Earthshaker were avoidable using Float or other moves such as Blink. Buffs were also easier to apply to the party compared to reliance on SB's here, and of course easier Party healing made keeping up manageable.
Obviously quite a few bosses will include the changes to AoE spells and heals, but there are other points, such as the difference in how crippling Sap vs Zombie statuses are for the Yunalesca fight, or simply how different some fights become when Revival is not a viable option in pursuit of Mastery.
