Our league is adding negative points for missed kicks. What has worked best for other leagues? Do you ever lose points for missed kicks? How many points missed?

Initially I suggested -5 for missed PAT, -4 for less than 20, -3 for 20 to 29, -2 for 30 to 39, -1 for 40 to 49 and 0 for 50 missed.

However we decided for now to go with -2 for missed PAT and -1 for all misses under 30. We will re evaluate in 2021 if we want to change to -1 for under 40 or under 50 or get rid of negative scoring.

We already give generous points to kickers. Bonus 0.1 per yard beyond 30.

I know some feel missed kicks are not always a kickers fault which is true. However many interceptions are not the qbs fault either.

I do understand many feel not getting the points for the kick attempt is punishment enough.
