Introduction & Overview

I am one of those guys who are super jaded by the cliche fan-service female units with over-sized bobbies, spidery legs and bikinis and all. That is why when I saw the news updates about SiegHard & Ignacio, I literally screamed "That's how you call a fan service!". Rugged muscular hunky daddy Ignacio hand in hand with the gorgeous genteel twinky SiegHard. Urgghh... that is like my favorite genre. I was sold. Soooo, I jumped right in when the banner came live and did one lap for the shiggles. And boom: I got lucky with 2 copies of the charming duo to bring home for the night.

Homoerotic things aside but not so straight to the point, the duo has such a wide range of weapon and gear selection that makes gearing such a pleasant experience. Notable ones include Big sword, Dagger, Sword and Mace with bonus chain whip (SiegHard's favorite). If you want something wilder, hammer and fist are up for the choosing.

Keeping the Bottom-line for your team: SUPPORT and TANKING

For support, SiegHard & Ignacio keeps most of the abilities each individual unit has. The unit offers 5-turn ST 60% all stat break via Debilitating Charm and Weaking Charm; 3-turn AoE 120% all stat buff via Affectionate Encouragement and Affectionate Protection which have secondary effects of filling LB and increase LB fill rate (150%). Plus, SiegHard & Ignacio can imbue the earth and fire with the option for 100% imperil for these two elements. Topping all those skills are their ability to T-Cast. Another unique aspect of SiegHard and Ignacio is their Magnus: Beauty Never Dies which gives themselves 50% general and 50% physical mitigation and re-raise while allowing the rest of the units to hide. This is a unique mechanic that can be used to survive multiple thresholds by hiding key units and open up more possibilities for glass-cannon team composition. For tanking, Sieghard & Ignacio can take things in like a champ via on-demand Behold my beauty! (physical cover) and 20-T CD Beauty Never Dies (physical cover with 30% general mitigation to one ally). However, this duo shies in comparison with other meta physical tanks.

When looking at the overall support and tanking capabilities, the Duo offers the vanilla version of the kit each individual unit has. Properly too distracted by each other, SiegHard & Ignacio, although managing to do a lot of things, do not excel at any of them. Having said that, in term of role compression, Sieghard & Ignacio is quite a wholesome and divine unit that offers quite a huge package filled with loads and loads of juicy skills, especially useful for gaymers who are new to FFBB aka Final Fantasy BravesExvius. Not the top at tanking and support but still more than serviceable, SiegHard & Ignacio is a deserving S-tier unit in term of VERSatility. I expect nothing less than a 69.0 unit ranking from Muspel.

Topping any unit with their insane burst: Finisher

Being an LB finisher, do not let the raw size of the modifier fool you from the monster of the Duo's LB when it is fully bumped it. Although maxed level "Charming Duo" is a 12x modifier with ignore 50% DEF, SiegHard & Ignacio has innate 250% LB Damage. If you are someone who loves to use TDH LB finisher like me, you would understand how painful it is to try to slot so many stakes (LB Damage, Killer, % ATK) into the tight number of slots to maximize the damage. With 250% innate LB, shove in a Heart Over Coming Hatred/ A Lion's Heart or a combination of Erwin's Coronet/ Storm Kickers/ King Rain's Armor, you will be in a much smoother gearing experience with less things to worry about. To help out with the gearing, kudo to Gumi for the newly legacy TMR/ STMR passives starting with this Valentine banner (Ignacio's and SiegHard's TMRs and STMRs trigger the passive for the Duo unit). Tbh , Flurry of Petals is really a tiny bit meh TMR in the current meta so the legacy mechanic is a huge saver.

For damaging rotation, SiegHard & Ignacio thrush real hard with Gigantic Hug (120x mod after critical boost) that gives 220% LB damage and fully fill the unit's LB for the big burst again the following turn. Such back to back bursting rotation plus 300% ATK self-buff can easily make any enemies to drop down on their knees begging for mercy. Above all, their LB gives a secondary effect of 40% general mitigation which is more than just a nice finishing touch. Currently, their burst damage is ranked number one on Furcula's spreadsheet and I think it is where it should be.
