Thoughts on the new raid summon boxes?
Post Body

Anyone else have thoughts on the new raid box summon?

Edited to add two fairly large negatives (bolded) I realized afterward, and bolded the two main positives just to counter. Still think it's overall positive, though, but worth noting nonetheless. Edit2 – got more info, above points are moved to Mixed instead of Negative.

Plusses:

  • Includes 10 STMR tickets across the five boxes.
  • Includes crysts of all types T1-T4, always welcome more of those.
  • Includes supercites (less exciting now that most longtime players probably have all espers maxed if they do expeditions regularly, but still).
  • Includes 2/3/4/5/6=20=100% TMR guaranteed for all banner units (minus Mordegon and pt1 units), eliminating RNG there.
  • Sort of an "extra" raid rewards box, since the recipes and one-time ingredients are included here.
  • Mild positive – gives snapper towers/families, and no king/regular gil snappers – still decent money because of the towers, but less box-cleaning time.

Mixed:

  • Summon cost is doubled from 100 coins (as recent as Floating Continent raid) to 200 coins. Assuming all boxes contain 300 summons, that means boxes take 300k currency to get through all five. Update – box 2 has 400, so it's going to be more than that.
  • The 50K multisummon that we JUST finally got appears to be reduced to 10K again?
    • Update to the two points above – both of these revert to our normal 100/pull, 50k multipulls once the five boxes are complete. Moved these from "Negative" to "Mixed" to reflect this.
  • You're guaranteed three 1%, two 5% and a 10% moogle between the five boxes. Nice for those with bad RNG, but mixed because at least in my experience I've tended to get more than that over the amount of pulls the boxes require, at the very least in 1% moogles.
  • To the TMR moogle point above, it also makes it harder to get good RNG and get multiple of the TMRs by raid's end, because you can't pull anything more than 100% on any of them until you clear all the boxes.

Negative:

  • Boxes do not appear to give summon tickets at all, even if they were ridiculously rare to begin with. Yet, tickets (and king snappers, to a previous point) are displayed in the raid pull banner image. We can assume that your chance to get these ONLY begins when you've cleared all five boxes.
    • I don't think there are more tickets in the raid milestone rewards (to account for some of the raid reward recipes/items moving here), but I could be wrong. So in the end it's technically a negative (a significant chunk of your pulls have flat 0% chance of tickets, and there are no additional guaranteed) even though the chance was terrible to begin with (I dunno, 0.1%)

Neutral:

  • At some point you can skip the rest of the rewards from the box and go to the next box. I assume you have to pull the featured rewards at the top of the contents of a box before you can do this, as I can't select the option right now in my game. Unsubstantiated, but I saw a claim from someone on BE forums that if you keep skipping the boxes you'll start back at the first you skipped when you finish the last one, and have to finish them all to open up the normal version of the raid summon – this may or may not be true.

Anything else I missed? Do we like this? Hate this? Eh this?

For better or for worse, it's effectively an extra set of raid milestone rewards, with guaranteed contents in a random order, before you can access the typical RNG raid summon banner. I would have liked to see one or two tickets (including a 5EX or 20% 5* to match MK events), but I think it's overall positive.
