Super Condensed SIFT - new trials and ff13 week 2 Edition

I had a little bit of time to kill on my vacation so wrote this on my phone. Pardon the lack of decent formatting and minimal details.

Road Through Hell - Event trial reruns.

Gumi is finally letting us do the event trials for rerun events! I finally get my revenge on Kefka (I beat him before but it took 80 turns for stupid reasons)

no gear

Kefka

light resist 15%: good if you lack light resist gear.

Great Mage’s Robe (robe, 40 DEF, 30 MAG/SPR, 20% MP): stats are good for newbies. Most vets will unlikely use it but the MP could come in handy in niche situations (see last fight in this series of trials)

Cid

Earth resist 15%: good of you need it.

manufaceted nethicite: nullify next spell. this is key in a lot of strategies. GET IT!

Kain

Dark resist 20%: good if you need dark resist.

Mental clarity (materia, 20% ATK/SPR, 100% confuse resist): nothing special here. Good for newbies lacking confuse resist. Extremely niche use for balancing magic eHP and ATK.

Hasiko

Photo locket (accessory, 22 SPR, 15% SPR): much better SPR accessories out there. Skippable.

ice bird trial 2.0

I’m so happy I got Prompto’s STMR the other day, it’s the strongest 1H gun in the game until…. this trial.

Quicksilver (FFBE) (172 ATK, 80 MAG, Silver bullets => demon killer): extremely good gun even for hybrids that use guns (VotL and Barret?). Depending on your other gear this is possibly BiS for R Lightning and any future DW units that can equip guns.

FF13 week 2 exploration

Tungsten Bangle (FFXIII) ( 30% HP, ATK/MAG crisis buff): tied for highest HP% accessory other than Emp Shera’s STMR. But Genbu Ring will likely be better for eHP. Worth holding on to even for veterans (pure HP is sometimes better than eHP when dealing with percent based attacks that ignore DEF/SPR).
