What should we name the new chain family?
Post Body

Hey guys, it's me, the person who named other chain families. It's always been me, the author of all your pain.

To prevent "Why is it called that, it didn't come first" or "There's no skill with that name" barrage of questions, might as well ask you guys what you want the new family to be called.

Recent mages from JP have this new frames that chains. It has same # of hits and difficulty as AMoE. Lezard Valeth, Mystina, and Yunalesca have them. If we choose VP units, they might come late or not come to GL at all, and Yunalesca's skills have no canon FFX name as far as I know, so it could have a different translation.

  • Lezard Valeth
    • Fire Lance
    • Lightning Bolt
    • Shadow Servant
  • Mystina
    • Fire Lance
    • Shadow Servant
    • Mystic Cross (クロス・エをレむド lit. Cross Air Raid)
  • Yunalesca
    • Creature Head (γ‚―γƒͺγƒΌγƒγƒ£γƒΌγƒ˜γƒƒγƒ‰)
    • Aeonian/Ionian/Eonian Dark (γ‚€γ‚ͺニをンダーク)
    • Aeonian/Ionian/Eonian Wind

My favorite is Aeon or Aeonian (without element), so if it comes to GL it could be abbreviated as πŸ”—Aeon. Mystic Cross or Shadow Servant is a fine choice as well. Proooobably not creature head.

Edit: Suede thinks it's Ionian from a greek region, same as Lydia/Rydia.

Edit 2: Result

People upvotes mostly Mystic Cross or Aeon, and they are close. Aeon has a decent chance to be a wrong translation, and it could be bad. At least Short-Range Graviton had "Graviton" on it. So I'll be picking the iconic VP spell Mystic Cross as the family name.
