Hey everyone.

With the most recent GLEX banners and the brought up changes to our beloved Fan Festa units, a lot of hyped up, strong JP units are now in a far lower priority position than they were before, imo. This is possibly bringing a huge shakedown to banners, which could end up in a lot of GLEX upgrades to some of those.

I'll make a brief list of the most hyped banners, and why they are now skippable if you have GLEX units (and is not pulling for nostalgia). In doing this I want to, hopefully, enlighten everyone's decisions of pulling and make you use resources wisely! :P

FF XIII: CG Lightning Future Hope

Basically, poor Lightning didnt even get her time to shine. She still brings an amazing TMR but, sharing banner with the piss poor Hope who looks like is 6 months late based on his kit doesnt help her much. Damage-wise, on par with the units we already have like Esther and Zeno and, thus, unlikely to be a heavy target as she was in JP. Her STMR is still, imo, amazing tho.

FFBE: Sol

JP's Sol is ~15% weaker than our Circe. Next month, two GLEX mages will also be buffed, Christine and GLS, which means that unless he gets heavily buffed he'll be not even close to top tier as he was.

FFV: Galuf, Krila and Exdeath

Exdeath, damage wise, is DOA. Krila was already absurdly un-hyped on JP. The gem of the banner is Galuf which will still hold his own in GL. Barring any new banner, he'll be our strongest tank on his release, and still stay really relevant after CG WoL's release, as they're imo close to each other. A good banner to pull for/use UoC's to aim for Galuf, honestly.

FFV: CG Bartz/Lenna

By far one of the most hyped up banners we are expecting, imo, it is the one that suffered the most. Lenna is, at very best, an incremental and really small upgrade over Myra. Her triple white-magic doesnt mean much when double-curaja already heals everyone and AoE re-raise skills are a thing. Bartz' TMR could end up being way less relevant too, specially if we do get the STMR moogle and since Malphasie's STMR exist. As an advice, if you want Bartz solely for his TMR, buying 5 times the fan festa bundle should give you a high chance to get 4 Malphasies anyway.

Damage wise, he'll still hold his own (unless they make CG Elena a monster) but still, I wouldnt say you need him if you have Zeno/Esther/Regina.

FFVI: CG Terra/Locke

CG Terra is a good mage but, since our redditor's spreadsheet doesnt have her yet, I'm not entirely sure how she'll hold up to Circe. Still, between our shitload of mage options, and seeing how fast she was eclipsed in JP by Dark Fina, I highly doubt she would see much light in GL. Locke is an interesting option as a breaker/mirage user, but I'm not entirely sure on how useful he would be since breakers are a really future proof class and our ones now (Edgar and Fid, for example) will still be ridiculously strong at that point.

This last banner is 4 months after where we are now. This basically covers all interesting banners until the first Summon Fest banner (Dark Fina).

A conclusion I would like to draw here, and IMO is the core of this analysis, is that the best units to come up to which we don't have much options are all tanks. This means CG Charlotte, Galuf and CG WoL are all imo by far the biggest priorities we have to aim based on JP now.
