This review is going to be pretty short, and I apologize for that. You can only review the same flavors of Chaos Wave mages so many times before each one becomes monotonous. There will also be a section at the end briefly overviewing Arie, the Tower unit

CoD - Short Review

Cloud of Darkness 5-7 https://old.reddit.com/r/FFBraveExvius/wiki/units/1598

Get your Ice Cream Chaos Mage here! New Flavor introducing Wind Thunder Dark with a topping of Human killer buffs! Basically, If it wasn't for her brands of Human Killer buffs, Cloud would be nearly carbon copy of what you think of when someone says "Chaos Wave" frames. Her actives are all stacking mods, Her imperil skills have a little unique flavor containing Small magic Human Killer buffs and she has some ailments in kit. Rotation wise there's not a whole lot to do. CD T1 -> Q Cast stacking mod -> LB -> Q Cast etc rinse repeat. Nothing special you really need to rotate around. Most of her use comes from giving you bonus coins during this raid, because after this if you have Terra or CG Legs, you won't need her. Kefka even does better than her in many cases. Passive-Wise, CoD doesn't really have anything special. 50% mTDH/mTDW, no natural DW for that so FinaFina TM is needed for TDW builds, maybe her one saving 'perk' is that she has 50% Camoflage and no equip based passives, so shes fairly easy to build.

CoD - TM, STM, TMP

Where CoD is moderately useful, is her TM. This TM is great for survivability if you can bypass MP or don't have STM, but you're much better off using the free Moogles from the raid to Moogle Container it rather than Summoning her. Another issue with this, (thanks u/kram) is that Sweet Luka TM is strictly better for survivability while sacrificing a moderate amount of mag. Basically up to the user on what they value. Her TMP gives her T Cast, Surprise. No reason not to use it, but she will have Q-Cast up a lot in the event you own 2 Sol STM or something and want to get around not using T-Cast. Her STM is a version of Exdeaths, in which you get 60% Mag and a triple killer for magic. Always good, but requires you to pull 4 CoD's. Unless you have nostalgia reasons for pulling, or are a collection whale, you probably won't see her STM.

CoD's LB is extremely powerful for burst, in that it gives her 2 Turns of 200% Human killer, then Deals a ton of Non Elemental Damage, and unlocks Q-Cast for the next turn. This will aid her in fighting some of the SBB, but otherwise is pretty meh in use. Being non-elemental really harms her damage output this turn as well, so you may be better off using T-Cast twice in a rotation instead of LB -> Q-Cast.

Arie - Introduction

Arie ケăƒȘス - Tower Free Unit https://old.reddit.com/r/FFBraveExvius/wiki/units/1589

Arie, luckily on the otherhand, is actually quite usable considering she's a completely free unit and easy to get. Reaching Floor 25F will net you her, her Prism, enough TM Moogles to Moogle her, and enough specific STM moogles to obtain her STM. She is a TDW chainer, which while she doesn't have the 6x passive, she can do a decent amount of damage for a free unit. She has HE frames as a main chain, with OS frames as a side chain. She also has some moderate team support in the form of Killers and LB filling.

Arie - TM, STM, TMP, LB

Arie's TM is just a 132 atk Sword, no special features to it, and honestly quite good for what is basically spoonfed and handed to you. I started a new account that was Rank 32 and barely had any gearing and was able to obtain it with little issue, so any longer standing account should have a pretty easy time reaching the required floor. Her TMP gives her 400LB Fill per turn, as well as 30% Atk and 10% Dodge. Given shes a free unit and if you're debating using her you probably don't have much alternative you should probably use it. Her STM is basically a mini Esther STM that was recently released in GL, Clothes with 14 flat Atk and 41 Def 30% HP/Atk for use by anyone. Good farmable gear given that it gives decent attack and decent survivability.

Her LB is virtually useless in the long run, so there's no reason to level it up or use it unless you need to Def Break someone. at 3200 Cost its fairly expensive so I recommend just leaving it alone altogether.

Arie - Passives

Arie actually has a good set of passives, notable being her Chest Drop and Rare Drop, 140% Atk, 50% TDW, Natural Dual Wield and 75% Human killer. She's also a decent budget Dodge tank unit, with 30% Natural Dodge with TMP. Your only issue is finding a source of provoke draw attack as well as a source of Eq L.Shield for moogle Plushie. Her Survivability is low however, with only 50% HP, 50% Def and 40% Spr with Low base Spr and Defense. She does have the "Quality" Stat spread for pots however, meaning this tends to average out pretty well with other units. Lack of 6x Passives as a TDW means her damage will be really lacking however in comparison to other TDW'ers with similar mods.

Arie - Actives

Arie has a lot of Actives that don't do very much, her main actives are her Cooldowns, which deal a bunch of damage, and buff herself respectively, while also giving her human killer (only 25% but we will take what we can get?). She also has a HE Stacking chain that goes up to 2100 (2300) mod, which is ridiculously high for a free unit nowadays and can rival a few of the older damage dealers, in two flavors, one gives Spirit killer and the other gives human killer, both 25%. With her main damage skills being naturally light element, this makes her extremely friendly to gear requiring virtually nothing for good DPS. Support wise, she can also give these killer buffs to allies while also filling 300LB.

Conclusions

TLDR: Arie is actually more interesting than CoD is, and you can largely ignore this raid banner if you got Xande for Raid bonus as 60% Bonus coins is MORE than enough to support pulls. Arie is a free unit that really helps everyone get going if they just started, which many people did during OK / Krain / KLass banners. Summon? Probably Not. Go after Arie? Unless you have extreme laziness there's literally no reason not to.
