For some reason, Kurasame has not received much attention for this trial so I tried to see how much he can do.
Team composition:
- Merc Ramza
- Folka
- Zargabath
- Loren
- Kurasame
- Kurasame friend
Gears ( the super whale Kurasame is my friend)
Explanation of roles:
- Merc Ramza: seal wind earth and light sealing through counter, physical cover and provoke tank
- Zargabath: buff and damage mitigation
- Loren: break, use items, provide light sealing if light counter from RoL doesnt proc
- Folka: dispel, heal, break resist, magic mitigation
- Kursame: DPS
Suggested strategy:
- Turn 1, guard both kurasame. Zargabath uses Archadian's Might. Folka dispel and reraise on Kurasame. Loren uses General's Manifesto. Merc Ramza physical covers.
- Turn 2 onward, Merc ramza provoke and alternates between cover and provoke and entrust on free turn. Use 2 Kurasame to double cast Zekken-Freezing Showers to bring HP of boss down to slightly above 80%. Use 2 items. Take your time to do LB and elemental missions.
- When you are ready to burst, the two Kurasame will follow the rotation: Ice Magic Unleashed > LB > Tripple Zekken-Twilight Rain (use 3rd item here to stun boss) > Tripple Zekken-Twilight Rain
- Profit
Sample video of burst turn here.
As you can see, 1 triple cast of Zekken-Twilight Rain can bring Gilgamesh down from 45%. Two turns of such damage can bring down Gilgamesh from 90%. If we start bursting from 80%, you have 10% of damage grace for variance and not as strong builds of Kurasame.
Edit1: u/DreamblitzX mentioned that with proper gearing, burst turn of Kurasame can go up to 60% HP of Gilgamesh which is totally insane.
