I was super excited to see the news today assuming it would be Tifa/Vincent step up which I've been looking forward to for a while. It was changed to FFT-0, which was disappointing, but not the worst thing in the world since it gives me more time to save. But then I noticed it would be a double 11k step up, one for each unit. I quickly checked JP's banner and saw that it was in fact a 25k x3 step up there. If I had been saving for this banner like I had saved for Tifa's banner and instead of being able to get multiple guaranteed rainbows per 25k lapis spent, up to 3 times, and instead only had a single 11k step up which doesn't guarantee any rainbows, I would be pretty devastated.

This coming right after the nerfed Valkyrie Profile banner is making it painfully clear that Gumi is trying to milk GL hard compared to JP. When they said they would make it "easier to obtain rainbows," does that include removing guaranteed rainbows from step ups? Why did they make the Halloween step up a 20k step up with no guaranteed rainbow on step 3? Why was the old Halloween banner a triple rainbow with no step up and regular off banner rates? Why are they changing this step up from JP to have 0 guaranteed rainbows, with a 75% chance of 1 or more rainbows? It makes me sort of glad that this isn't the Tifa/Vincent banner, because if they made this change for that banner and released it this week, I would have been pretty devastated as I have over 50k lapis saved for it.

I know everyone is sick about the threads that do nothing but complain, but we need to make it known that we're dissatisfied. The community manager, Elytraxp has let it be known that she does watch these public posts and compile the feedback to take back to Gumi and let them know our thoughts. Whether or not Gumi will do anything with the feedback is another question entirely, especially considering how they did this right after the Halloween and VP banners which were both received poorly. Maybe their banners are in the pipeline several weeks in advance and can't be changed easily, but in any case I'm not calling for action to fix this particular banner (once in game news has gone out, I don't think they've ever changed course) but to stop nerfing future banners.

Edit: I'm seeing a lot of support for these 11k step ups since you can turn 3k lapis into a 30% ticket. That's great for people who aren't interested in the featured unit, but I feel like this type of banner punishes people who hoard for specific banners since if you whiff the 11k step up, you're stuck doing regular 5k pulls instead of getting more laps on the 25k step up.
