In the end game, how much time does FFBE consume?

I'm getting busier with my new job, and also expecting my first child as well... so I just want to check with you all - in the end game, ie. stories done, side quests done, how much time does FFBE consume?
And also, is FFBE playable if I can't afford to farm TMR at all (I have a decent stash by now, but just wondering about the amount of TMR that may stack up in 1-2 years to come)?
