Her STMR is called Vajrayana but is actually used to bone.
Class: The Cheetah Ridur: Yes, I can insert vowels wherever I want now and no one can stop me, not even Gumi.
TMR: Swift Hunter: She be Swifting Huntly… or as Howl put it… nevermind, Howl is a cool guy.
Notable Abilities:
Tidus: Reminds me of that Pokèmon episode with the Pelipper that used the abilities of that Magnemite… but at least she gives a variance instead of the exact carbon copy.

Overview
Nalu is yet another Lightning elemental Tidus partner, she is TDH instead of DW. She deals more damage than Lightning when using TDH and she works greatly with FD TDH Tidus if you choose to give her a water weapon, or you can give Tidus a Lightning weapon to chain with her, as long as Tidus is only using 1 weapon. But she works best when used with a dupe as they can align their rotations and chain on almost every turn with more damage output. The previous point is most prominent because her most powerful abilities (CD and LB) don’t chain with other QT chainers and the CD only partially chains with Octoslashers.
6★ Notable Abilities:
LB: 20LS for an AoE 23-hit 12x chain that also imperils Lightning 100% and buffs ATK 114% to all allies. This is an amazing ability especially when used with a dupe to successfully chain.
Blessings of the Forest: 30% HP recovery, removes debuffs to ATK and DEF and gives 130% buff to them, all effects on caster. This has its uses even though they might be very niche.
Wild Battlecry: Buffs ATK 100% and Lightning resist 70%, both AoE. This gives her a bit of utility for the off-chance you would need the Lightning resistance.
Lightning Spear Jab: This is her version of Jecht Shot which deals a bit of damage and imbues her with lightning for 5 turns. This move allows her to use non-elemental weapons and still deal elemental damage.
Thunder Spear: This is her main chain that has a 5x mod and QT frames (Quick Hit) and imperils Lightning by 60%. When using Nalu with another unit, you would rather use this than adding the LB to the rotation.
Passives:
- Raw Stats: Nalu gains 80% ATK and 30% HP (losing 50% ATK without a spear).
- Offensive: Nalu has 100% TDH and 50% killers to beasts, insects and plants to allow her to deal more damage (especially against those races) and 100% High Tide so she can use her LB more often.
- Sustainability: Nalu has an innate 30% lightning resistance and immunities to the following status ailments; poison, blind, paralyze and disease. The resistance to lightning might come in handy especially that all it needs for 100% resistance is her own 70% buff and the blind and paralyze immunities work great on her as a damage dealer; though, she still suffers from some of the worse ailments such as confuse and petrify.
7✦ Notable Abilities:
LB: Her LB now needs more LS (25LS) and deals more damage, reaching to a modifier of 12x and buffing all allies by 140% in ATK.
Thunder Fang: This is a CD ability (3 turns CD and unavailable on T1) that deals an 11x mod as a 12-hit lightning chain that does not chain with Quick Hit but is a 10fr chain instead. This ability paired with her LB make her a much better unit to be used with a dupe. Keep in mind this has an innate lightning element, allowing you to increase the turns before you have to use an imbue by 1.
Passives:
- TM Ability: Gives her an additional 50% TDH and an additional 25% ATK.
- Base Stats: 30% DEF and 20% SPR for increased sustainability.
Offensive: Increased killers to insects, beasts and plants by 50% (giving a 100% total) and a 0.7x increase in the modifiers of her offensive skills (the effective modifier increase on her main chain is 1.4x). These allow her to deal more damage and be the best choice for fighting against insects, beasts and plants.
Rotation:
No Dupe: Imbue > Chain > Chain > Chain > Chain >>>
Elemental Weapon: Chain >>>
With Dupe: Imbue > Chain > Chain > Chain > Chain > CD >>> (LB whenever usable - switch it with “Chain” only)
TMR:
Swift Hunter: Materia 50% TDH and 25% ATK. This TMR is amazing especially for units with 0%, 50%, 150% or 250% TDH (only if you have 2 Desch’s Earrings for the last one).
STMR:
Vajrayana: Spear 2H Lightning ele with 175 ATK. This weapon is so outrageous, it is a 2H weapon with an element (which is so rare right now) and with very high ATK as well.
6★ Pros:
Really high damage
Not locked to an element (just prefers lightning)
Has innate TDH
Nice killers
High 60% on-demand imperil and 100% imperil on LB
Her LB is strong and can chain
7✦ Pros:
Very high 200% TDH with her TMR
Even better killers
Gets an option to increase her chain to setup ratio
Cons:
No W-cast (hurts her partners and her damage)
No innate auto-refresh
Cannot deal her full potential damage without a dupe of herself

TL;DR:
Nalu is an amazing chainer, dealing much more damage than the other current 7✦ chainers. But as Hyou closes in, and his power spike gets closer and closer, there is less reason to pull on chainers leading up to him.
