Intro:
Welcome to issue #14 of the Lost Reviews. We are the Lost Cause and today, we will allow you to know more and stack more knowledge till you hit the cap about the new unit… Solei-
Soleil’s older sister joins the fray, unlike her sister; though, she is a mage and not a dancer.
Apparently, she is suspected to be Victoria’s step mother, the cooooool, hot, windy and sparky type.
Class: Elemental Dancer: As I said, she is a mage.
TMR: Quintessence: This review isn’t late, you just didn’t see it earlier. This isn’t Loren’s TMR, it is another one. Life isn’t real, it is an illusion.
Notable Abilities:
Dual Cast: I bet she has like 3 spell-
All the Spells you need: I was wrong...
Dances away
It was just a spell used
Overview
Mediena is a pretty good chainer mainly that can also be used as a capper that uses -ja spells and Zoblizza to cap. Zoblizza is a new ST spell similar to Blizzaja but deals way more damage at full stacks. Mediena also has Freeze, an ice chain, making her a similar chainer to Barbiccia, but with more damage to ST enemies.
Build:
In her builds she usually uses Ramuh for MAG and silence resistance, or whatever has the killers she needs.
Notable Abilities:
LB: 20LS for 8.4x 10-hit attack with increased MAG for the next action, this apparently stacks with other buffs (according to my testing). LB doesn’t reset stacks on spells, so this can be used to increase the power of a fully stacked Zoblizza, as Zoblizza is cast before Freeze, it is the skill that would be used first, so it will be the empowered one. This can also be used with reflect and -ja spells to deal massive damage to an enemy.
Zoblizza: This is a 1.2x ST ice spell that stacks up to 12x after 9 uses (5 turns - when used as a pure finisher or when ramping up before bursting down). This is her main move and it is the reason you would usually use her. It needs a long time to ramp up but deals massive damage when it finally does.
Blizzaja/Firaja/Thundaja/Aeroja: A wide assortment of AoE elemental spells that deal 2x mod stacking up to 6x after 4 uses (2 turns). Those spells can be reflected to deal a high amount of damage. Blizzaja can be used instead of Zoblizza for AoE use and when you need faster ramp-up.
Defira/Delightra/Dethundara: 50% imperil to respective elements for 3 turns AoE.
Freeze: A decent 8-hit chain that can be used for capping stacking spells, it also imperils ice by 50% for 3 turns AoE. This skill is her other main skill, allowing her to work similarly to other units such as Barb, sadly, there aren’t any other units with this chain.
Dualcast: Cast any combination of 2 magic spells in the unit’s kit.
Passives: 80% MAG when using rods (loses 50% without it). 20% MP, 30%HP and auto-refresh for sustainability. Immunity to 2 highly annoying status ailments, sleep and petrify, and a bonus disease immunity, innate HighTide.
Rotation:
Finisher:
Normal: Freeze Zoblizza > Zoblizza x2 > Zoblizza x2
Team Imperil: Zoblizza x2
Reflection: |LB > (Reflect on all team) -ja spell| - not a consistent rotation
Chainer:
Normal: Zoblizza Freeze
Pros:
Nice MAG stat
Innate status resistances to petrify and sleep
Can imperil 4 elements (light, fire, ice, lightning)
Can semi-effectively use 4 elements (fire, ice, wind and lightning); though, only in capping
Can deal really high damage once ramped up
Can chain with LB then deal extra damage on her Zoblizza
Can be capped as well as being a chainer
Cons:
No silence resist innately
Ramp-up on Zoblizza is long
Can’t use more than 1 element (ice) really well for conventional trials
Calculations and Comparison:
Check this table or this table for comparisons of ur own…
My finisher table is down, so I will just add sample calculations here as I will be unable to update the table (only numbers will be shown, results come from calculations done from my table)

TL;DR:
Mediena has some versatility, but she only really shines once her Zoblizza is fully ramped, otherwise she becomes very lackluster damage-wise.
Future Proof?
Mediena gains more MAG, more damage on Freeze and Zoblizza and a higher imperil of 70% on her Freeze. In her 7, she gains an immunity towards paralyze and confusion (still lacking the immunity to silence which is still a problem as all of her damage comes from magic), 135% all stat AoE buff on her LB and increased modifiers on some of her spells when using her TMR. She also gains Curaga and Tornado, allowing her to Nado-Aeroja. She gains T-cast black, which gives her even more damage, and increased resistances by 20% on fire, ice, wind and thunder. She also gains a counter (phys and mag 20%) with a 60% imperil to those elements. An MP recovery and a CD ability (5 turn CD) 130% buff with 200% LB fill rate for 3 turns allows her to be a support kind of unit. But she also gains another CD skill that allows her to deal 10x ice damage AoE with 100% ice imperil and 200% increased MAG for next action, this allows her to stay more relevant in the team with such a huge imperil; though, the skill only unlocks at turn 5 and has a 4 turn cooldown. This means that she basically solves most of her problems in 7 .
