Essentially, that's the price if you choose to go three steps into the 11k step-up banners. For an overall price of 3000 lapis, you end up with 7 pulls, a 5% moogle (irrelevant really), and the ticket in the topic.

Assuming we treat these 7 pulls at the cost of daily pulls, they comprise about 1750 lapis of that total cost. So ignoring the moogle, you're opting to pay about 1250 just for the ticket. Do you feel like this is a worthwhile price?

I've seen in the past that people consider 4* tickets as worth 1000 lapis. The 30% rainbow ticket has 6x the rate of rainbows as a 4* ticket, but at the much more worse low-end result of still being able to pull blues with it.

Obviously, this is irrelevant if you plan to go for the full 11k step-up anyways, they're just bonuses on the way to step 5. But for those only somewhat interested in the banner and also interested in hoarding high-rainbow tickets for a later banner, it could also be appealing even to just do the first three.

I'm just curious on other people's opinions. If they sold 30% rainbow (or 10% rainbow) tickets directly, how much lapis would you value them at? How much do you think they are worth, say, as part of a lapis bundle? Will you be grabbing the step-up one even without being interested in Raegen?

EDIT: Some random other thoughts from users and more thinking on the matter:

30% rainbow is essentially the same odds overall of getting (at least) one rainbow in a 10 1 pull. Now, you obviously get 10 less units and can't get multiple rainbows, but it's something to consider as 1250 vs 5000 lapis investment. If you only care about rainbows only, this could make the tickets worth more to you.

As a final thought, in story events these days, we generally get ~3600 lapis per event. As these types of 11k step-up banners happen on story event banners, you could think of it as trading in most of the lapis reward for doing the three steps for "free". Your savings of lapis wouldn't really decrease over time just spending that much.
