With the dragon quest enhancements coming next week and a couple of GL exlusive units getting their enhancements next month it seemed like as good of a time as any to discuss what their enhancements might be. I know that this discussion is not going to change anything and will be speculation and ideas from all of us but I am curious to see what everyone thinks might happen.

Obviously a couple of the Dragon Quest units got some pretty notable changes with their global release putting some skills up near their enhanced state on the JP side. This potentially changes the direction they may go with the enhancements significantly.

Dragonlord

Lets start with Dragonlord in JP vs Dragonlord in GL. A notorious one-trick pony all Dragonlord does is cast Kafrizzle. On the JP side this was extremely expensive with enhancements but it got buffed in GL to be nearly as strong as the enhanced version (20x GL 21xJP) at only 40% of the cost. This skill is actually at a fairly good state already so my question is what will they end up doing with Dragonlords enhancements?

With the state that Kafrizzle is in right now they could do a couple of things. First off the could just ramp up the modifier and potentially put in a fire imperil to make this even more ridiculously powerful for finishing. Always an option and probably what most people expect. They could also simply not enhance Kafrizzle and instead enhance one of Dragonlords other skills. Kasizz could be enhanced to become a powerful AOE finisher giving Dragonlord options against groups of enemies. Midheal could be enhanced to be a powerful single target heal. They could further buff passives.

They could also enhance Wave of Relief above what JP got to make it slightly better than Priestess Miracle 2.

Orochi

Orochi in GL also got a decent boost compared to Orochi in JP. It got higher passives and the 1 enhancements to Shock and Claw right off the bat. I imagine they will follow the same enhancements as JP but just make them a little stronger. Perhaps a stronger buff on Muster Strength (120% maybe) and a higher multiplier on Shock and Awe (6x base 11x when after Muster Strength).

INTERMISSION

I don't think that the other DQ banner units will get any notably improved enhancements unless Killing Machine gets a 6 star form. LMS is the only other unit worth using or enhancing and their enhancements are plenty strong as is with no need for GL exclusive buffs.

This leaves us with next months potential enhancements. We don't know exactly which units from JP will get enhanced next month despite some being long overdue(looking at you Prishe) but we can be fairly confidant on 2 units. If we follow the trend of enhancing GL exclusive units one year after release we should see Reberta and Zyrus popping into the enhancement banner next month. Both of these units hold some interesting potential and due to having no JP form(technically there is one in JP but it is a completely different unit with the same skin) so there are a lot of possibilities.

Reberta

With Reberta it will be interesting to see if they focus more on her dragoon side, her standard chaining, or go with both. The 2 active skills most likely to see enhancements are Mystic Thrust and Crimson Death.

If we look at Mystic Thrust we can see it's a 4x chaining move with no imperil attached so pretty weak compared to the competition. It does get turned into an AOE chaining move if used immediately after one of her AOE imperil moves though. Due to Reberta having 3 separate imperils it can be tough to find one with the right element sometimes though. This is why I feel they should make Mystic Thrust take on the element from the most recently use Breath attack(her imperils) for 2 turns after their use. It should also change to an AOE attack for 2 turns after a Breath is used to give her a simple rotation of Breath, Thrust, Thrust.

As far as Crimson Death(or Death Crimson as it says on my Reberta) the best way to enhance it is probably to extend the chaining frames enough that Reberta drops while it is still chaining. A boost on the Jump damage to 5x would be nice as well but not as important as fixing the jump chaining. Removing the requirement to use Jump, Recovery Jump, or Raging Thrust before Crimson Death or adding Crimson Death itself to that list would also be a notable improvement.

For her passives Pike Master and Ignitos Support are the most likely to get enhanced.

Zyrus

Zyrus has a decent chance at good enhancements based on how nice both Xon and Cupid Artemios' enhancements were. Blood Rage is the first enhancements I would want from them. Change the required HP from 33% to 50% and raise the fill rate from 100% to 300%. Zyrus is an LB based mage(uses his LB to open up ability dualcasting) so he needs a way to get it up more often.

Blood Pulsar is the next obvious choice to for skills for them to enhance. Only slightly stronger than -ja level spells and can't be dualcast without LB activation. This needs a buff to Overflow levels to be worthwhile. Blood Rend's multipliers could be doubled and still not be OP. To pair with Blood Rend they might want to consider giving Flare the same enhancement they gave to Papalymo.

Closing
