First of all, go ahead and check the Extra Credits channel on youtube about the game industry/world, there are A LOT of things to learn about games on their channel. I personally was wishing for a video on loot boxes a looooooooong time ago
Secondly, with the new cash 10 1 summon drama going around, I believe this video on Extra Credits channel is a must watch for our subreddit. FEH and another gacha game make an appearance on the video as well...
...which relates this to FFBE IMO. One of the interesting things mentioned on the video is: "people are OK with spending money on games, but game companies shouldn't be abusing this"
Go ahead, watch the video, and think about how FFBE is inserted on the context of that video. Are you happy with the money you spent on the game? Do you have an idea of a better monetization system for FFBE (I mean, Gumi needs money to survive and keep the game online right?)? Do you think this is BS?
If we're lucky, some people on Gumi might take a look at this and think about it/share it with their teams. Even the new "Product Manager"... such big changes on bundles/summons are very likely related to a new person that doesn't play the game, and has too much power
I hope you can think and have meaningful discussions after watching the video. If you're on Gumi's shoes, what would you do regarding loot boxes?
