To any Christine users: Are you able to cast Absolute Zero in the event?

Possible bug in the event: i currently did a run in the event and i just so happened to cast absolute zero. it did only a single frame of animation and no damage. thinking this was weird i did it again and no damage. because the event is timed i havent ran a third lap to confirm, but wanted to know if someone else can duplicate this?

Edit 1:I did fight the Dragon Jr. that round. which may completely explain this now. However if you cast a spell on him doesnt the whole spell animations go off, not just a single frame? And would that ability effect other battles, like it did in mine?
