Enhancement Ideas for Christmas Units.

December enhancements are still almost 2 months away but after seeing the Halloween enhancements it got me excited about what might be coming for our 2 GL exclusive Christmas units. For reference here are some links to White Knight Noel and Santa Roselia's wiki pages.

I would like to share my ideas on what I feel would be appropriate but first I feel I should set the premise of what we are likely to have by that point. In November we are likely to get both Ramza enhancements and get Roy so bards will be a thing. We will are also slated to get 6 star Roselia who comes with Triple White Magic as well as a buff for Noctis. We cant really sure what enhancements we will get in the meantime but Eileen, Wilhelm, Forren, Amelia and Lunera are not out of the question We are also likely to have Mistair(Mystea?) finally giving us our first magical cover tank.

With all that in mind lets look at the 2 units and how I feel they should be enhanced.

 

White Knight Noel

Our second 5 star base tank in GL and our first one that wasn't terrible. He had the distinction of having the best provoke in the game for several months at 50% physical/magical damage reduction. His provoke has only recently been somewhat tied by Demon Rain's enhancements (WKN can stack his with standard damage reduction on MAG but Demon Rain's works on fixed type damage). Like Demon Rain his role is Tank/Damage but unlike him he focuses on MAG instead of ATK for his damage. His low base stats for a 5 star and lack of decent multipliers hamper him in this role though.

  • Glacial Wave: Fix it's frames to be more even(5 frame intervals) and increase it's damage multiplier to 4x. 2.1x damage wasn't worth it then and still isn't worth it now.

  • Rune Protector: Raise the shield bonus to 30�F/30%SPR and change the rod bonus to 30% MAG/30%SPR and allow it to activate for staves as well. Give the option of activating this ability for a 50% AOE magical cover.

  • Tactical Gear: This is probably the trickiest skill to implement and the least likely one for us to see. Increase Mag by 25% of final DEF/SPR when equipped with heavy armor. Increase DEF/SPR by 25% of final MAG when equipped with robes. This could allow WKN to be tanky if he geared for MAG or have decent MAG if he geared purely tanky. An alternative would be to give a bonus to MAG from flat DEF/SPR on gear and a bonus to DEF/SPR based on flat MAG on equipment.

  • Mystical Flair: Give Paralyze and and Confuse Resist. Make this activatable for dualcast on WKN's base abilities.

  • Winter Palisade: boost the counter rate to 60%. Change it to have a 50% chance of Glacial Wave 2 and a 50% chance of Sub Zero 2 (4x damage to one enemy plus -100% ice imperil)

 

Santa Roselia

Poor Santa Roselia wasn't popular even when she came out. Lack of party buffs, any sort of revive and the issues of multiple counters(game checks for Blessed Heart first meaning she can do multiple Blessed Heart counters a turn without activating her heal counter) meant she was considered worse than Refia who we already had. This set of enhancements will come out after regular Roselia gets her 6 star enhancements with triple cast so my ideas were based on making her at least equal to if not stronger.

  • Entrust: Basically copy White Witch Fina's Entrust ability awakening. This gives her a single target reraise that will always be available due to Heart of Conviction giving 1 LB a turn. The fact that it doesn't allow multicasting makes it a tactical decision.

  • Healer's Resolve: Extend to 20 turns. Increase SPR buff to 200% and allow access to Triple White Magic, Full Revive, Esunaga, Dispelga and Festive Energy(20MP-AOE 50 MP heal)

  • Blessed Heart: Add a 5% auto refresh. Change the counter to target all allies. Skip the roll for this counter when it's buff is active.

  • Heart of Conviction: Give 20% HP 20% and 20% more SPR. Add sleep and confuse resist. This would help with her low stats and give her resistance to the 4 debilitating stat ailments allowing her to more consistently get her ailment shield counter off.

  • Curaga: She should get the standard Curaga enhancement. This raises Curaga from 1000 before the multiplier to 1600. Triple Casting would change this from a 45 MP 5754 heal (with 500 SPR and 200 Mag) to a 30 MP 7554 heal.

Well that is about it for my ideas on their ability awakenings. Do you think the enhancements we actually get will be Demon Rain or Dracu Lasswell level? I would love to hear what everyone else thinks and their opinions on what sort of enhancements these units should get. I would also be excited to hear other peoples ideas on other GL enhancements. If anyone wants to suggest a better formatting style as well I am all ears.
