Happy anniversary FFBE! I hope everyone is enjoying the awesome anniversary events. I've certainly been enjoying all the events so far, including pulling my 3rd and 4th Queens chasing for Tidus...... errr okay I'll save that for another time.

We've been through some ups and downs in this past year, but boy what a wonderful first year it's been for FFBE. From here onwards, I can only imagine how great the second year is going to be.

To start off FFBE's second year with a bang, I have a challenge for myself, and anyone in the community who wish to participate. Rules are simple, use only the main characters to complete all trials. Of course, no duplicates allowed.

These units include: Rain, Lasswell, Fina, Lid, Nichol, Jake, Sakura and Dark Fina. For those of you without Dark Fina, you're welcome to use a Dark Fina friend for a party of six. Keep in mind that actually owning Dark Fina will not grant you any advantages in this challenge since you most likely won't find any friends using story unit leaders.

The end goal is to complete all trials up to Octopus Teacher.... because the Robot Trial is fked up. I decided to start with Gilgamesh since he was the first "wall" I've encountered in the game.

Gilgamesh Trial

I left Dark Fina out of my party, and went with a line up of Rain, Lasswell, Jake, Fina and Sakura. A couple of things that are crucial to winning the fight:

• All units should have atleast 4.5K HP to cover for their mediocre stats. My units all had 5K HP

• MAG break from enhanced Break style should be up at all times, along with Defensive Barrier.

• Rain should have safety bit equipped and should be using provoke during thresholds. This will require a little bit of luck since it's not 100% provoke, you're pretty much fked if he OHKOs Fina since she's our only raiser.

• Jake should have water & wind element weapons equipped, I had Thunder Blade (materia) equipped as well so Jake could alternate sealing thunder with Sakura after 50% threshold

• Lasswell should have Excalibur equipped so he and Jake can cover Light, Fire (Jake's innate skill), Water and Wind when Rain is using provoke during thresholds.

• No brainer, but Lasswell should be decked out in as many offensive TMRs as possible while keeping his HP above 4.5K - 5K mark. Sohze's TMR was MVP here since it provided ATK, HP, and the much needed MP recovery.
