Post Body

Hello all,

Since I can't find a comprehensive analysis of the new enchanted maze difficulty, I decided to make one myself. That and I was bored.

Here's the important stuff to know:

Breakdown of Rewards by Room

Room Number Reward if Failed Before Reward if Perfect Run
1 Gigantaur x 1 Gigantaur x 1
2 King Gil Snapper x 1 King Gil Snapper x 2
3 Gigantaur x 1 Gigantaur x 2
4 Mini Burst Pot x 2 Burst Pot x 1
5 Gigantaur x 2 Gigantaur x 3
6 Gigantaur x 1 or Minitaur x 3 Gigantaur x 1 and Burst Pot x 1 and Minitaur x 3

Individual and Cumulative Probabilities

Room Number Individual (room you lose on) Cumulative (rooms you make it to)
1 0% 100%
2 33.3% 100%
3 29.63% 66.6%
4 18.52% 37.04%
5 (Not Perfect) 17.284% 17.284%
Perfect 1.2345% 1.2345%

Averages

  1. Average 3.0741 Gigantaurs/Run
  2. Average 1.67 King Gil Snapper/Run
  3. Average 214.81 LB pts/Run
  4. Average 0.074 SQ/Run

Other Important Information

  1. Cactuar Dunes Uncharted Zone is more efficient for exp at an average of 130,000 exp per run (8667 exp/nrg). Paradise is even more efficient at about 9,700 exp/nrg. Shout out to /u/unk_damnation for linking to the /u/stfatherabraham survey about Paradise.

  2. The maze is currently the only place where you can get limit burst pots (reliably).

  3. If you are short sacred/holy crystals, the drop points are a goldmine for them! Also can give 6* awakening mats later.

And that's it! Here are my calculations for anyone who is interested. Hope this helps.
