I have been using this setup to max out encounters in explorations, allowing me to do something else, recheck after say 10 minutes, move to the second area, repeat, finish. Perfectly doable in Invincible Interior (best place to farm eggs)

You only need two points in the switch control recipe, ever since full auto in between encounters was in effect.

With any decent Noctis friend, use any unit you want, be it your TM farm, units to level up, throw in Locke/Paul for their stealing LB. Noctis friend can readily kill off the boss in 2-3 turns with no threat of dying.

Step by step

1) Create a recipe in Switch Control similar to the linked image.

2) Get a friend Noctis

3) Make sure: Options > Continuous Autobattle All Quests

4) Enter Invincible Interior Exploration

5) Enter a battle then press Auto

6) Activate SC, tap tap tap away.

7) Go do something else, come back in 10 mins

8) Deactivate SC, move to Area 2 (area after the first elevator), reactivate SC and tap some more.

9) Return after 10 minutes.

10) Go to boss, Warp Break twice.

11) ???

12) Profit!

Extra: use Locke or Paul since their LB has a steal effect.
