Homonym Ability Names
Post Body

Anyone else bothered by this? Seems like poor design to make two abilities with the same name but different effects and it makes it hard for new players and even experienced players to follow discussion easily. Seems like there's tons of examples of this all of a sudden.

We've got Comeback on CoD (Esunaga effect) and on Noctis (Full-Raise effect); Cover on several units, an esper and a TM (Protect Ally effect), and then a different one on Noctis (AoE Heal and Refresh). Even Hayate as a unit name and Chiz's Mirage ability name can be somewhat confusing and isn't necessary. I know it's a generic Japanese word but they could have used something else. And I'm sure there are several others.

Thoughts on this? Should similar abilities be standardized to a single name or do you like having the extra flavor of individually named abilities on each character?
