Hi guys! I don't do this kind of posts most of the time because I'm just your average player, but I think this might help some of you that had problems to defeat Io (Colosseum D-5 Boss).
First, you can check out Io's stats here: https://exviuswiki.com/Io
Most of you probably tried to defeat it with a full magic team but got destroyed (Like I did). After a couple of atempts with my "ok" magic team (CoD, Celes, Golbez, Tellah and Lenna) I figured that I needed debuffs and a tank because Io's physical attack "Crush" is way to strong.
And I came up with this: http://imgur.com/a/dia5y As you can see, I have Chizuru to deal most of the physical damage, Charlotte as a Tank/power break user, Tellah as a magic user, Lenna as a healer and the most important member, Cloud of Darkness.
Cloud of Darkness can use armor break, thundaga and barrage, that's all you need, she's the best unit on the team and works very well with all members because of how versatile CoD's abilities are.
Probably some of you have Full Break, in that case the battle is very straight forward, just use full break and go all out on Io!
If you don't have Full break, focus on buffing your party and debuffing Io on your first turn (Armor/Power Break, Cheer, Focus,Protectga, etc) After everything is ready, Io will attack your party dealing probably around 1k to one or two of your units, heal and go all out with your damage dealers/mages.
I would recommend you to use a tank because Io's attacks will crush your healer in a blink of an eye, in this case I used provoke with Charlotte and laughed at the damage recieved by her. (The HP is too high!!)
To make everything clear:
1)-Having a well rounded team is the best option in my opinion. 2)-Debuff Io and buff your party on turn one. 3)-Use provoke on your tank. 4)-Go all out with your damage dealers 5)-Heal. 6)-Repeat steps 4 and 5. 7)-Profit.
I know this post might get ignored or laughed a because of how obvious all of this is, but I wanted to share the idea of having a balanced team. Lately Brave Exvius's content has been very easy with a full barrage team or a full mage team and Colosseum changed that, now there's a point in having a dedicated Colosseum team!
And that's all I had to say, if you have any question/criticism/idea let me know! I don't post stuff like this very often but I want to learn and be more useful for the community.
Good luck with Colosseum, good luck with your pulls and don't forget to have fun!
EDIT: Guys, I know your full magic team wrecks Io, but not everybody has good maxed mages and I wanted to share the idea of a more balanced and fun team.
