Hey.
I've been playing around with Macroing (oddly enough more for farming Farplane Souls than TMs...). Here's some useful steps I've noted when recording.
First of all, open Brave Exvius, and drag the window smaller. This seems to make Nox more stable during long running times. Be sure to go to settings and Save Changes, or your resize may not stick. You don't want a resize after recording your Macro, that seems to throw the click coordinates off. If you are also using Nox as your main mode of playing, you want it at a size you still find comfortable, or alternatively just setup 2 instances, one for playing and one for auto-ing.
You want to make your macro resistant to disconnects and Daily Quest popups. The first step to do this is to note where the Close/OK buttons show up. There are a few ways to do this, but the simplest I find that won't damage my screen or involve added software is to just use MS Paint.
- Open Paint, and full screen it. Set your cursor to draw coloured rectangles, by clicking the Rectangle, setting the fill dropdown to Solid Colour, and setting Colour 2
- Drag your Nox window so that it is entirely surrounded by Paint's white space, and pin it (the pin icon on the top bar).
- Complete a Daily and get the popup. The easiest is probably Send Gifts to Friends. While the Window is up, draw a rectangle in Paint, flush against the Nox window's left side, and in line with and roughly the same size as the Close button. Then draw a similar rectangle flush against the bottom of the Nox window.
- Repeat the procedure for a Disconnect (use a different fill colour). An easy way to get a Disconnect window is to disconnect your internet cable/wifi, and try to view your trophies.
- Optionally, spend NRG and get the spend Lapis to Restore Energy dialogue to pop up, so you can mark where the Yes button is, to make sure you never tap that location, ever, during recording. Unless you want to refresh I mean.
You can now easily eyeball the position of the buttons. Now go to the dungeons you want to auto, have the list of dungeons up, and get a stop watch ready. Its a good idea to make sure your recording goes for a known time so you can easily set a delay when repeating. Make sure you are familiar with where the those 2 buttons are going to show up. In my early attempts I sometimes ended up stuck in the profile window of the chosen friend, the one you reach from the depart screen, so I'd try to avoid tapping that location when possible as well. Also remember that you only gain 1 stamina every 5 minutes, so you can take things slow without impacting your time. Start that stop watch and click record.
- If the OK button for a Disconnect happens to overlap the dungeon you want to enter, that's great. Tap a location in that overlap, wait a
minute amount of timefraction of a second, tap it again, then tap where the Daily Quest Button is. You want to space the taps out a bit, but before your friend select window appears. If the OK button is not overlapping your dungeon, your first tap should be on your dungeon, followed quickly by the disconnect button and the Daily Quest Button. - Wait a few seconds, and tap where you tapped for the Daily Quest Close button again. That should select a friend.
- When you get to the Depart Screen, tap somewhere in the middle of the screen that doesn't activate anything (it's a recovery step in case a replay hits the Close button followed by a bit of lag). Wait 5 seconds, then tap depart.
- Wait for the battle screen to show up, and then wait some more. Then do whatever you need to do, presumably it's just tapping Auto. Remember between each interaction you should wait a few seconds to account for UI lag.
- Once the battle is over and the spoils show up, wait some more. A lot more. At least 20 seconds. Tap where the the Disconnect button shows up, and wait a few seconds more. Tap next twice rapidly. Every time next appears, wait a few seconds before tapping it.
- Once you're at the dungeon select screen you're done. Just wait for a convenient time on your stop watch before you stop recording. Rename the saved script, including the total time it took.
Now that you've saved the macro, you can move the Nox window somewhere else if you like, but make sure not to resize it.
Usual disclaimers apply about getting banned, becoming morally bankrupt, etc.
