So I've got a fairly new account with a lot going for it. The account is rank 16 and the characters in my primary party range from level 40 to level 64. However, I'm not even to the point in the second island where you actually pick up Fina yet, so my equipment is pretty bad.

I can clear the 8 energy stage of the DQMSL event with absolutely zero problem with a good amount of bonus units, but I absolutely cannot come even close to beating the 10 energy stage. I just don't have either the offense or the defense to handle anything in it, even with a max level 6 star Lightning friend unit tagging along.

So, my question is, what would the JP veterans advise I concentrate on? Should I focus on the 8 energy DQ event quest for now, should I ignore the event until the second half (and supposedly better farming levels) opens up and try to blaze through the story to get better gear? Any other tips or tricks which might be helpful? I'd obviously really like to get the 300k sword, but I accept that it might be better to aim lower. Which other rewards are worth getting?
