If you just start palying and don't know anything about this, in jp this vortex is a 3 fight one with the possibility of droping cactuars, which gives a lot of exp. 5000, 10000, and 30000.

Keep in mind:

• The drop is not guaranteed. Sometimes little green cactuars spawns and gives nothing.

• Each cactuar is 1 slot in your inventory.

• If you are going to wait for the vortex and not spending your energy from gifts and quests, be sure your characters can be awaken and you have enough gil.

• Don't spend all your friends points. Just grab a character a time and level up. 1* sometimes needs only a 1 mini cactuar (5000 exp) to level to 15 and then be awaken, then level to 30 and sell em. Easy Gil.

• Just as was mentioned in another post, is better to run this vortex than the chamber of experience.
