This week we've had a new update to Steel Castle Melfikya (Item World), so I wanted to see peoples thoughts on it. Because the rates for rare mod appearance is no longer shown in-game (removed with the itemworld overhaul), we can only speculate on them.
I do know that before this update, rare mod % was shown in-game, and the rare rates for GL were lower than the JP server. This was partially balanced by GL having access to an overall better pool of mods (removal of things like 1%, 3%, 7%, 12%, and addition of another tier of 20%). There were also 3 GLEX mods added universally, but that was mostly a sidegrade to JP's early addition of 3 universal rares that came long before this update.
Now that we have the full rare pool selection universally added to every item, we want to mostly chase a triple rare perfect modifier setup in the optimal scenario. The issue is that, at least by my early runs, and by talking to a few others, it seems like we still have the lower chance to get rares on GL.
This means, even though now we have access to lots more rares, it becomes significantly harder to get the rares you want because if the rare appearance % is still the old, lower value that GL had, you only have a 1/14 chance of getting the rare you want when a rare does appear (about 4% per selection on level 10), or less than 1% on level 10 to get the rare you're seeking (lower on levels 1-9). I'm sure a statistician will correct my math, but the point is, without the boost to rare % that JP added, it's going to be very, very hard to get the optimal rolls on GL post-update.
As said at the start of this post, with rates no longer published in-game, we can only speculate. So... do you feel the rare rate is good enough on GL after the update?
