The last couple weeks have been hectic for me so here’s a catchup for the previous two batches. It’s gonna be a long one

Worldly Wayfarer Bartz

Bartz’s main tool is his wind burst with his base form LB after a modboost from his shift LB and then his 150% amp. His modifiers & such are still just a tad underwhelming (esp. Without Tidus STMR) though, so he only ends up around 48t for his burst damage. This’d barely round up to a score of 31.0, but it’s made a bit more secure by the alternate option of his shift form chains offering 3 other elements. Because the skill modboosts of the different elements don’t stack with each other though, so it ends up a fair bit weaker than the wind option, at least without a strong external amp. (and the frames of 2x AMoE Finisher kinda suck)

’White Mage’ Krile

To start with, let's just establish that despite the title, Krile is not primarily a healer. Nor is she a (competent) damage dealer with her ‘Berserker’ shift form. She’s most useful for her buff support with her ST stacking wind amp, weak AoE wind/earth amps, a couple decent killers and offensive buffs, and the fairly useful Shellga 3. Overall, we felt she was most comparable to Lehftia with the primary draw being the ST 100% amp and then giving and taking a bit in various other areas, so she sits at 30.0 alongside her.

Dark Mage Exdeath NVA

Here’s the third of our NVA meteor users. Hopefully you know how these work by now, with them having a lot of external scaling potential through dazzling demoness and big external amps etc. Within out parameters, Exdeath hits quite a lot harder than Golbez & Onion due to much higher static magic, and his own sword imperil on his SLB for the DV magic sword, but has to dedicate a lot more slots to capping out his MP stat compared to Golbez, so killer gearing can even the playing field if it’s for a race Exdeath doesn’t have a good innate physical killer for. Overall, he’s hitting for 46.5t, with the slowness of waiting until after the SLB being canceled out by the elemental flexibility and scaling potential nets him a 31.0

Faris Crowns

Her fields are quite a bit better now with these crown upgrades, increasing to 40% amps and being for both damage types, but as a slot she doesn’t provide much else other than some breaks that’re pretty poor at this point, and the fields alone can’t carry the kit so her overall rating remains low. She gains half a point compared to her old rating, bring her to 29.0

Now for the shameless summer fanservice unit… oh, and some more Fina’s as well I guess.

Marine Runda

This iteration of Runda’s in a bit of a weird spot, primarily being an elementally flexible but overall fairly weak physical damage, plus a bit of support in an AoE offensive stat buff and his self 60% amps also targeting one ally. They have no cooldown on them, so if he actually had a multicast he might’ve been able to amp most of a team reasonably well…… As it is, only being able to support 1 other unit while using his own damage (or two if you ignore his own I guess) is pretty underwhelming. Overall, I’ll be generous and give him a little bonus for it, rounding the score from his 31.9t burst up to 30.5. I think I’ll stick with the original thanks.

Vacation Fina

A very barebones water magic SLB burster. Her magic stat ends up a little subpar with her weapon of choice pretty much being Artemis Bow, but having a 150% amp, 300% focus buff, and your own weapon imperil still lets you end up decent I guess. 63.7t burst nets her a 31.5. Also, can we agree that this summer stuff is just kinda creepy at this point? Please stop.

Blue Mage Fina Crowns

Fina, I thought we already dealt with you this week. What do you mean this is a different one? Even post-awakenings, Blue Mage Fina’s kit hasn’t stopped being a mishmash of a bunch of different underwhelming things. Her AoE light amp going from 25% to 40% is the closest thing to useful, which is probably worth half a point since she’s still a fair bit below the 45% AoE ampers and their better stat buffs. Up to 28.5.

Wow that felt like way too much work for batches of units that had basically zero impact on the meta. I don’t have nearly enough energy for the impending doom that is leader skills….
