So I want to tell a story. When I first heard the news about Shaly like many of you I was upset and devastated to hear of her sudden passing even though I never met her in person once or knew her personally compared to many other members of our wonderful community.

But when I heard of the cause being due to a Pulmonary Embolism it hit a little closer to home for me because about the same time last year I got a call from my mother. She was crying and it was scaring as she struggled to tell me my grandfather was in the hospital for blood clots in his legs. There was a high chance he might not make it and at best he might survive but lose his leg in the process. It was touch and go for the whole month with it looking good at first and him showing signs of recovery but then his leg started to develop signs of necrosis and then the doctors had no choice but to amputate his leg.

But enough about me since this post is about our dear and wonderful Shaly.

She was the shining star and heart of our community so me and my best friend wanted to what we do best together. Create art and transform Shaly into a Final Fantasy character because she was such a big fan.

So we present the Precursor of The Stars Yaishaly

This is in no way us creating a unit for the game but we definitely went the full mile because Izzy and I don't half ass our work. This is just us memorializing Shaly the best way we know how.

Here is the backstory I wrote for her in the world of FFBE

"A Precursor from another world who travels the stars spreading joy wherever her journey may take her with a smile. She is known as a legendary warrior who long ago sealed away a powerful being known as a Great Destroyer by throwing her weapon at it and sending it hurtling towards the stars. After her victory she was flung through time to face her destined enemy once more. She searches the stars for her legendary weapon Shaula to aid her in her quest once more. Many who have heard of the legend of Yaishaly would tell of a warrior with a kind and passionate heart that she was often seen as the heart and soul of her community. She's diligent, driven, and loved by many. Only time will tell where her journey will take her next."
