I come to you all as a desperate man. I think I'm going through an existential crisis in regards to this game. Between Support giving me terrible answers, the time commitment involved everyday to play (morning, lunch break, before dinner and before bed) and poorly coordinated events, I've been overly frustrated and thinking that I should quit. Today was the final straw that broke me. I'm not in America so this maintenance completely screwed me over today since it ran from 1pm to 1am for me. I only had 30 minutes this morning, slightly more than 30 minutes in my lunch break and 50 minutes before daily server reset. I got my NV Tifa setup and 4 other FF7 characters and I finished the Vortex challenge at 5:10pm (10 minutes after server reset), so the game said the event was already over and kicked me to the Title screen. Submitted a ticket to Support asking if the event was supposed to do this and "Tracy" says she'll look into it. 2 minutes later according to the chat timestamp, she had an answer and said that they couldn't send rewards over in-game mail (didn't ask for that) and to please finish events before server reset (didn't ask that either). Now I'm waiting to see if they'll answer properly to confirm if the event was supposed to do that.
I just don't understand how Gumi thinks it's a good idea to give you a daily limited event with 1/3 of the day occupied by maintenance and other parts of the day occupied by sleeping or work. I had 2 hours to get caught up on the game after maintenance and it clearly wasn't enough time. I feel like this crap will never leave the game and now with NV, FFBE is looking even more grindy. It's really sad too because I was genuinely pumped up after participating in the anniversary live stream event. It feels a bit better to put this all in writing and helping me get over the FOMO. But, how have other people been managing with this surge of new content? Is it always going to be like this from now on?
