I've been using Awakened Rain for everything
Post Body

Last trials have favored magic tanks, and players been (rightfully) taking S.S.Charlotte or P.Cecil everywhere. They can spam 50% AoE general mitigation —which is crucial for many recent trials because of all the AoE fixed attacks— and also have other tricks up their sleeves (especially P.Cecil).

But I like a good challenge!! It doesn't have anything to do with the fact I only have a 6* S.S.Charlotte and no P.Cecil at all...

Awakened Rain can heal, regen MP, increase resistance to all status ailments, increase ATK/DEF/MAG/SPR by 120% while also giving LB shards, increase fire/earth resistance by 80%... Is there something he can't do?? Yes, he doesn't have any kind of AoE damage mitigation (can't multicast his abilities either, oh and no innate draw attacks...).

But that's what Regis is for! Or Ignis for those who have him, or WoD Galuf as a provoker, or even M.S.Nichol... OK you got the point. Regis a.k.a. one-of-my-best-pulls-ever-no-regrets has all kinds of mitigations, HP barriers, ATK/MAG/DEF/SPR buffs, HP/MP regens, and even AoE killers! Oops this post was supposed to be about A.Rain...

Anyway something I didn't say before is that A.Rain is tanky af. Also it's really easy to build him with elemental resistances because he comes with 90% fire/earth resist and 10% for every other element.

A.Rain vs. latest content:

Sometimes we just don't need a tank, like against Demon Wall

Paladin Cecil who? /s
