For the past few months I've been trying to justify my FFBE activity. I love theorizing parties, gearing them up, and trashing bosses. But, like many others, I'm really tired of making spreadsheets/post-its for boss rotations. It seems so stupid to me to have to map out the battle beforehand, to the point of a turn-by-turn unit-by-unit action list, due to boss mechanics being so dumb, and if you mess up at all, you're out 40 NRG and so much time.
So I've been putting off trials until they're powercrept, and just grinding events. Until I got sick of the grind. I'm doing the same mind-numbing things over and over, so that I can get a ton of coins and waste hours with inventory management.
I saw a post where u/WAMIV was talking randomly about DFFOO, so I decided to look it up...it's really pretty and flashy. So I installed it. Within a day I stopped grinding FFBE. Within 3 I stopped logging in. As a basically day 1 player, this was a hard decision to make before, which is why I was still playing, but now it's not a hard decision. I was basically only hanging on to see Lilith's updates, but ended up giving up at least a week before they were announced.
I'd like to thank everyone for the fun and assistance in my FFBE time, I really did love the game, but it just became so much of a chore with no real benefit anymore. It's sad to stop playing, and I admit I've had one time where I opened the app, but it was in maintenance anyways :)
Good luck to everyone on your pulls, and I hope the game keeps your interest as long as you wish it to.
PS: I also hope the blog stays fun, and doesn't devolve to main-sub levels...good luck with that.
