The current global raid event, "The Mana Beast", contains Gungnir as the 285,000 tiered reward. This weapon, usually unremarkable, is commonly referred to by the community during times of dishevel, similar to the symbolism of pitchforks and torches.
When asked, Gumi representatives had this to say:
We wanted new players to feel welcomed in the older community. As such, we at Gumi thought it was a great idea to give each player a Gungnir, so they too could participate in riots we have planned for the future.
