Is being entitled wrong?

I came across a comment in the replies to the post about Claic's new video where he reams Gumi (in as polite a way as he can) which really rubbed me the wrong way:

TLDR this person says we are entitled because we expect a bug free game that has the same benefits as JP, even though we are quick to forget when Gumi does right with GLEX buffs and units. He says it is because Gumi is dealing with Alim's code base and trying to tack stuff on, and it's difficult for them. We should expect bugs.

I don't understand this point of view at all. As a consumer, it doesn't matter to me what is going on behind the developer's closed doors, unless they come out and tell us directly and openly. A consumer shouldn't have to care why there are bugs. A consumer's only job is to enjoy the content that is created for them, and pay money if they find value in doing so. A company's job is to compel consumers to pay money. They won't compel everyone and that's OK. People who don't enjoy the service that's being provided will spend their money elsewhere. I said something similar in my reply to the comment, but...you don't go to a movie, watch it and think "Well, I didn't like it at all, there were technical flaws everywhere, but it's ok...they had a lot of problems in development that held it back. I'm going to keep paying money to see movies by these people knowing that I'm not going to like a lot of parts about it because they aren't fixing their obvious production issues." Unless you REALLY like it. You typically take your money elsewhere. A company's job is to keep things like that from happening so the most people will be attracted to their product. Having a process that's completely broken shouldn't be an excuse to put out a bad game. It should be the excuse you need to fix the process.

I could write a whole lot more but I will wait for a discussion to form before I word vomit more opinions on this page, but the main thought is,why shouldn't we feel entitled to a better game?

Thanks for reading.
