NXT january 23rd edition: william regal is telling everyone about the release of nick miller when shane thorne arrives and says that if nick miller was released, it was becayse of william regal hatred towards miller and his association with triple h, this would have turned HHH's judgement from fair, which would have been nick staying on NXT to something very stupid, release ONLY nick. William then asks shane why is that stupid and shane answers than if they were gonna release nick, then he would also be released since he and nick were the integrants of TM-61, after this shane attacked william regal and left between the crowd before the security could do anything

NXT Takeover: Phoenix, kassius ohno vs matt riddle: when the match reached the 10 minute mark, shane thorne appeared and attacked both kassius and matt riddle, after this william appeared on stage and said that he had to stop shane thorne before he ended up injurying someone, after this keith lee appeared behind william regal who said that at NXT Takeover: New York, keith lee and shane thorn would face off

NXT Takeover: New York, keith lee vs shane thorne, winner: thorne with a rollup while holding tights, time: 16 minutes, after the match the nxt champion aleister black attacked him

storyline: during the buildup to this match shane was forced to participate in handicap matches, after he won half of handicap matches he decided to make a proposal to william regal, if keith lee defeated him, he would leave NXT, however if he won, then he would be the n1 contender for the nxt championship which regal accepted

NXT Takeover: Unstoppable 2(may 2019), NXT championship match: aleister black(c) vs shane thorne, winner: shane by pinning aleister after hitting him with the NXT title, after the match shane thorne hits william regal (who tried to interfere so thorne didn't win) with the NXT title and left the ring, time: 30 minutes

storyline: due to the hadicap matches that he went through, shane thorne decided to leave NXT after the NXT title match, after that regal tried to destroy thorne with everything he had while thorn managed to either recieve the beatdowns are attacks or avoid them, after this basically thorn says to aleister and regal that he will leave with the belt, after this aleister gives shane a black mass
