Need advice. L4 vs. L5 AM Job Posting
Post Body

I am currently a PA in my delivery station and there’s an opening for an L4 and L5 Area Manager role that our L6 OM has posted. I qualify for both because I have a Bachelor’s Degree and over 2 years of direct management experience handling 45 associates. I’m thinking of applying but I just got promoted to PA last November 2021 (about 4 months ago). I have expressed interest to my AM during our 1on1 that I am interested in moving up when the right timing and opportunity comes and he was very supportive as long as I feel that I am ready to take the next step. 1. Is it too early for me to apply? I have other PAs in my team that are more senior than me that will apply, should I just wait for the next posting that I see? 2. Should I put my application for L4, L5 or both? 3. I’m currently getting $19/ hr OT. Is it worth moving to a fixed salary?

I am deliberating if it’s a good time to try. I want stay and grow with Amazon.
