I caught my mother using hard drugs, drinking and selling drugs in my home. I currently have no contact with my father. I left not knowing where I would go. My grandma let me stay with her though it would always be temporary. I would stay between my boyfriends and grandmothers to give them a break.

Because I have lived with my boyfriend more recently, my brother moved into my grandparents small 1bd apartment. I feel if something were to happen with my relationship, I would not have anywhere to go.

My school counselor and a one teacher knew about this (graduated in 2020).

My question is- am I valid for “risk of homelessness”. I will have to speak to my financial aid office and provide proof. My high school counselor proved to be untrustworthy and petty, I am afraid of asking her for proof.

I am terrified of even speaking about my situation with a financial aid employee at school, what if I get turned down?
