Post Body
My parents recently separated (2023) and I only receive financial support from one of them. This year I need to report their 2022 tax return, however, in 2022 they were married and filing jointly. How do I emphasize this on my FAFSA form? This happened to me last semester, where I didn't receive any financial aid because my financial aid office accounted for their total combined income and assets when in reality, only one matters.
Any advice would be appreciated.
