I don't mean to sound dramatic but I swear to god it feels basically impossible to new meet people or let me rephrase it better, to retain a friendship these days. Yes, if you go to some activity group or spontaneously meet someone outside, you may spark up a casual conversation but it is so hard to retain anything with anyone these days no matter how entertaining, funny, relatable you try to be in the moment to retain any interest from the other party. At least that has been my experience for a very long time. It's the same in the work force as well, everyone is so closed off & is maybe down for a quick little small talk convo but after that, if you try to make it anything more then that, they treat you like you're some sort of a pest that needs to get out of their way and in a hurry. Again these are just my personal experiences and I honestly don't get how you meet even friends today, let alone a partner. Am I like missing something or is this experience pretty universal?
