save a few thousand and get a pre lci or spend more and get lci?
Post Body

I've been looking at f30s and in the price range im looking at I see there are both lci and pre-lci with good mileage but with drastic price differences and im not sure which to get. I'm really into the taillights and paddle shifters on the lci version but it seems silly to spend so much more on something ill never really be looking at I'm also aware that most pre-lci have the n20 engine which is known to have timing chain issues, but that seems to be largely overblown and not as big of an issues as ppl make it seem and many have claimed the engine to be incredibly reliable I'm still not sure what to do.

Is there any reason to get a lci facelift version if the cars have the same exact mileage/same trim and options just different years? at this point the only thing thats pushing me to get the lci is the tail lights and shifters I'm not really feeling the oil filter placement on the b48..
